Recreation in Marblehead

Recreational Opportunities - There is a surprising amount of open and public space in Marblehead with more than 12 public parks and beaches and a surprising number of protected conservation areas. Most notable are:

Devereux Beach, a wide and long oceanfront beach with a seasonal restaurant, lifeguards and sanitary facilities.

Seaside Park Seaside Park and Fitness Trail, where the town plays baseball, soccer and hikes to stay in shape. There are 6 lighted tennis courts. You can get a permit for just $1 at the town’s Park and Recreation office in the new community center.
The Audubon Bird Sanctuary is a magical setting with a scenic pond, hidden in the heart of Marblehead Neck.

Chandler Hovey Park, home of one of America’s oldest continuously operating lighthouses at the entrance to Marblehead Harbor.
