spirit and character by the quality of its schools.
Public Schools: We have two K-2 elementary schools, three K-4 schools, the Middle School with grades 5-8, and a four-year high school. In addition, there is a public charter school with grades 5-8. |

More than 85% of our high
school seniors go on to college. In addition to a strong curriculum,
Marblehead High School offers a broad variety of extracurricular
activities including a strong sports program and Jefferson Forum, a
community service organization.
A new, state of the art high school is currently under construction. |
| The town has two
private schools: Hillel School (kindergarten through grade 8) and Tower
School (pre-kindergarten through grade 9).
The town belongs to the North Shore Vocational High School area. North Shore Community College has campuses nearby. Salem State College is located right across the town line and Endicott College and Gordon College are both a short ride away. There is easy access to the many fine colleges and universities in Boston and in Cambridge. Interestingly, Marblehead was considered as a potential site for Harvard University. Unfortunately, the founders chose that other town! Marblehead also has a variety of private nursery schools and after school programs. |
