The papaya or paw-paw is one of the fastest growing
tropical fruits. The papaya tree grows up to 25 feet high
and the fruit resembles gigantic Brussels Sprout Clusters.
The fruit contains the enzyme papain which is widely used as meat
tenderizer and digestive aid. Papaya is also a good source
of vitamin C. Papaya has a wide variety of uses
including fresh fruit, baby food, baking, sauces and flavor
additives to dairy products and confections.. |
